Orsi’s Italian Bakery & PizzeriaPizza so good you’ll slap ya motha

The pride of Little Italy here in Omaha is no doubt Orsi’s. When you been around for 100 years slinging square pies, you know you got to be doing something right. Because really what do you do with a square pie? Anyway I think you may refer to it as a “Grandma Pie”, but that could be incorrect technically and I don’t want to offend nobody. Point is it’s good pizza alright? And they sell em in sheets. Like bed sheets but they are covered in tomato sauce and you can eat em. You can get a half sheet, or a full sheet, or even bigger sheets then that. Heck you can get any kind of sheet of bread, tomato and cheese that you want. The canole is good too.

I had the pleasure of meeting the current owner of Orsi’s and he was a real mensch. He’s got a lot of pride, and a lot of heart, and he cares very deeply about keeping Orsi’s where it is. Which is making excellent pizza and providing a wonderful assortment of fresh baked breads, and various Italian goods and grocery items.

The next time you are in Little Italy tell Tony he owes me $30 dollars for that thing I did for em, and also check out Orsi’s Pizza cuz they got pizza so good you’ll wanna kick the dog.
